1) Why did you choose personal training as opposed to the millions of free programs online?
Why choose in studio? I have been to every gym in Bangor and tried working out at home. Skye’s studio has offered me the motivation with results that I have not been able to achieve elsewhere. I can see my inner and outer strength has improved over the time I have spent here. Skye expects the best from me without making me feel intimidated. I truly believe she is a great cheerleader and coach.She makes me feel like I should always focus on the time I have spent working out, not the time I may miss. It keeps me coming back for more!
2) What has been your greatest achievement since you've been working out?
My greatest achievement has been my overall strength and stamina acquired during barre. I remember flopping around on the floor trying to do push-ups on the little yoga ball. Skye kept pushing us despite eyes rolls and groans from the back.A few weeks later, there I am doing something that seemed impossible without anissue. How can you argue with results?!
3) What advice would you give someone who is ready to start working out?
Advice for people starting out? I always say classes are great because you won’t walk out half way through.There is a team there with you and with the music motivating you, it will be overbefore you know it. I find music to help with any workout.
4) What is a fun fact about you we may not know?
Skye always calls me her “Tiny Dancer” because I was in dance classes growing up. The funny thing is I was actually not very good at ballet, which is the basis for barre! Always a back up dancer and HATED going to ballet class. Seems odd that now it’s one of my favorite workouts!
